TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP
When a horse is sold the
SELLER should send to the CTHS office:1.
APPLICATION FOR TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP (form available from CTHS office, no charge)signed by SELLER.
OR
COPY OF BILL OF SALE
2. Attach i) original Certificate of Registration
ii) DNA certificate (not all horses have this)
iii) PINK certificate of Breeding (only stud book/stud book eligible have this)
3. Enclose the $25.00 transfer fee for each horse, payable to the CTHS
The CTHS will process the certificate(s) & mail to the new owner.
NOTE ANY CHANGE (e.g. Gelding, colour, scars, brand on the transfer form)
I f the horse is
UNREGISTERED the SELLER should:1. Complete a Transfer of Ownership
2. Attach the original Certificate of Service, signed by the Stallion owner
3. Attach $25.00 transfer fee, payable to the CTHS
4. Give these to the new owner, who can then proceed with the registration
